Delphi shakes up senior management in Europe

18 April 2008

Delphi has appointed Ronald M. Pirtle to be president of Delphi Powertrain and president of the company's European operations. He succeeds Guy Hachey, who is leaving the company.

Pirtle, who was president of Delphi Thermal, will relocate to Luxembourg and will continue to report to Delphi CEO and president Rodney O'Neal.

James A. Bertrand succeeds Pirtle as president of Delphi Thermal, and also maintains his responsibilities as president of the company's Automotive Holdings Group, the organisation set up to streamline and wind down or sell non-core or unprofitable operations.

O'Neal said that most of the AHG work "has been completed or is targeted for completion this year".

Both Pirtle and Bertrand are on the Delphi Strategy Board, the company's top policymaking group. Pirtle, 53, has been president of Delphi Thermal for 12 years.
